Activities and Organizations
After graduating, I have immersed myself in volunteer opportunities within the fashion industry such as Fashion 4 Development. F4D is an organization that highlights the talents of designers from around the world while also bringing awareness to issues such as human rights and sustainability for the United Nations General Assembly week in New York City. This event brings impactful and inspiring people from all across our industry in order to unite and spark change through fashion. While at my alma mater, Baylor University, I was a member of Baylor Apparel Professionals (BAPS) and Oso Launch. BAPS is an organization that is focused on how the fashion industry works through different aspects like production, social media and marketing, and business. Oso launch is an exclusive group of 22 Baylor students who currently own or are starting up their own businesses. Oso Launch helps students to start up their own businesses to be successful companies through entrepreneurship, innovation, and persistence. I had my own business called Ghali, which in Arabic translates to expensive or valuable. It was a home decor line I created that included knitted blankets and decorative pillows.
What does he do?
I love to spend my free time traveling, whether that is a day trip to somewhere outside of the city to traveling across Europe, travel has my whole heart! I love hanging out with my friends, going for a walk, hiking, taking photos, cooking, and playing with my French Bulldog as well. I am known for my creativity and my fun and bright personality. Anyone that knows me knows that I am a very outgoing and social person. I can spark a conversation and get along with anyone! I love to meet new people, network, and make new connections wherever I am, I never want to miss an opportunity! I'm always wanting to venture out and try new things that I may be unfamiliar with. I've always said that I never want to be in a place in my life where I am not learning. I want to grow my knowledge of whatever it is that I do. I have a great sense of innovation and I try my best to implement that into various aspects of my life weather that's in my career, my cooking, or even my skin care routine. I want to broaden my horizon with new experiences and live my life to the fullest!
